Started in 2014 as GROW-FOOD and now serving businesses of all sorts, GROW Rogers Park is a business incubator for visionary entrepreneurs.
GROW Rogers Park began as GROW-FOOD. Sheree Moratto, the director of the Glenwood Sunday Market had the idea after seeing many residents and shopper of the market ask her how they can start their dream job of selling their grandmother's cherry pie or pickling their produce. She saw their dreams slowly droop and disapear as she explained the process of obtaining a certified share kitchen, a busines license, insurance and forming a business plan. She wanted to bridge the gap between visionary food entreprenuers in the neighborhood and successful business enterprises. That is where GROW Rogers Park comes in, serving businesses of all sorts, GROW Rogers Park is a business incubator for visionary entrepreneurs. The program includes pre-venture assessment, needs analysis, business planning, marketing, financial planning, capital access, sustainability, referrals to service providers and more.     The overarching goal of the project is to increase economic development and vibrancy in the Rogers Park community, develop multiple new small businesses that choose to stay in the neighborhood as they grow.
